Shalom Retreat Center, Dubuque Iowa
Registration forms available by the Devotion Center or here.
Cost$135 (includes 2 nights, 4 meals, devotion and craft)
Do not let transportation or cost be a hindrance.  
Car-pooling  and financial assistance is available.

WACKY WEDNESDAY’s   2nd – 6th graders

5:30 – 6:15 PM – Resource Room

 (February 24 – March 24)  - No session on March 17!

Come and explore the meaning of Lent as a Lutheran through games, discussion, and crafts.  Don’t miss out!!!

 

First Communion Instruction

February 3rd and 10th at 6:30 PM will be the evenings of our First Communion Instruction class of 2010.   Youth who are 10 years old by February 14, 2010 or older and have not yet received communion, are invited to attend with their parents.  We look forward to walking with you as the sacrament of Holy Communion is explored, revealed in a manner that strengthens our faith within a community of love.

A TASTE OF EWALU – February 21st

3:00 – 6:00 PM

Mini campers – High School age

Come and join the EWALU staff for a taste of summer happenings at camp EWALU.  EWALU staff will be leading games, activities, indoor campfire topped off with pizza and pop in the Parish Hall.  Don’t miss out in this opportunity to learn more about the summer programming and get a discount on your summer camp registration.

Kelly Parks Snider and Jane Bartell – Guest Presenters

Kelly and Jane take a unique approach using art as the means to educate, inspire, reflect, transform and encourage social change. They will enable girls to look at the world around them and become better informed critical consumers of mass media advertising and entertainment.

In other words, to become more media literate.

Roger W. Colleen F. Peterson Church Relations Scholarship

This scholar ship assists incoming first year students in their faith and learning by supporting students who have demonstrated leadership within their own congregations and church organizations.

Kristi Lee Hermeier Scholarship

Awarded to students for their exceptional involvement and leadership in ministry and service opportunities and to support their continued partnership in ministry at Luther College, in their home congregation, and in other ministries.

William and Murial Stoneman Family Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a strong moral character along with leadership abilities.  Recipients must also show active participation in church and school activities.
